The Finns have a word, sisu, which means stoic perseverance and grit, whatever comes your way.
My philosophy of teaching learning is simply HAPPINESS! One can conquer anything in life with it. Happiness is made up of a few components. Some psychologists have suggested that happiness consists of three distinct elements: the pleasant life, the good life, and the meaningful life (Seligman, 2002; Seligman, Steen, Park, & Peterson, 2005).
What is this new HQ? Happiness quotient is a concept that measures approximately, the measure of happiness each person has achieved in his life. Happiness is largely chemical and is quantifiable. It is commonly assumed that happiness correlates with the absolute level of quality of life, but this is again consistently contradicted by the visible unhappiness of highly successful people. We can say that it is a state of mind when you have a good quality of life but if still you are unhappy then, you must change the way you think and feel. If you want to be happy no one can make you unhappy.
Finland was named the happiest country in the world for the third year in a row according to the United Nations' latest World Happiness Report. Finland is followed by Denmark, Switzerland, Iceland and Norway. On a societal level, Finland's success can be attributed to its rigid social safety network, culture of trust, high-quality education, and a strong commitment to gender equality. On a personal level, many Finns cite their connection to nature as an important source of happiness. Finns have put deliberate efforts on creating happiness – it was not served to them on a silver plate.
A healthy work-life balance ensures that Finns have the chance to pursue their personal interests and feed their creativity whilst enjoying the world’s cleanest air and pristine nature.
How we perceive life, what we make of it is our choice. We are the product of the choices that we make in life. So, then why do we complain or be miserable, why do we grumble and remain dissatisfied? Aren't we who took decisions for our life?
It requires courage to objectively view life through a clear lens. It is important to accept the consequences of our actions and decisions with equilibrium. Life is such an optimistic energy, you don't have a delete and backspace button...it urges you to move ahead. Therefore, be happy because happiness creates a positivity around you and then good things are attracted towards us. They in turn help to make our lives pleasant, good and meaningful.
India out of 156 countries stands at a dismal 144th rank.
Let's move on and see the simply three things formula to be happy:
1- Be in the present- It is the only fact of our life. The past is left behind and we can learn our lessons from it and move forward. The future is important but nobody knows what it holds, the best time of life is the present; it is a present to us from life so, live it happily so that all your tomorrows are happy too. We must not waste the present in empty pursuits.
2- Don't make a mountain out of a molehill- It means don't make things bigger than they actually are. We need to be pragmatic and sensible to take rational decisions. The general human tendency is to make issues bigger than they are which cause misunderstanding and unnecessary pain. Even if something is not right at times, we have to overlook sometimes in order to have peace, happiness and harmony. Tell others not to exaggerate things but accept things with equanimity which makes life simple. Most people complicate lives with exaggeration and not allowing things to settle down due to their own selfishness.
3-Stop assuming what others are thinking- To lead a happy life it is imperative that you do not think too much about others. Many a time we fret over this- what will people think? what will people say if I do this or that? Stop thinking too much, everybody is busy with their lives. Living in today's fast-paced world no one has time for others, people are busy with their own affairs. Even if they have any say, think whether they have the right to interfere in your life or comment on you unreasonably. For all you know nobody is thinking. Therefore, have a positive mindset and carry on with your work.

BE A BETTER VERSION OF YOU EVERY DAY!!!... BE HAPPY!
